I was recently given a new AEG Steambake oven (read the review here), and as part of the agreement between myself and AEG I wrote three recipes, the first of which is this chocolate tart with coconut and lime. READ MORE
Pressure cooker cheesecake? Yes, yes and yes.
Now I know pressure cookers generally are used for making stews and other such savoury items, but time has moved on. (Obviously they are still excellent for hot pots and curries etc). I want you to consider for a second the prospect of a really creamy, perfectly cooked baked cheesecake without the 4 hour faff. Ladies and gentlemen, I introduce you to…. (drum roll) pressure cooker cheesecake. Not only that, I made this particular one the chocolate variety. Because I am nice like that. READ MORE
There’s a curious thing about freelancing. There’s no set ebb and flow to it. Sometimes you have a quiet week. They are the weeks when you ponder what on earth you’re doing, eat too many white chocolate cupcakes, and discuss with anyone who’ll listen if you nerves can really handle this kind of existence. Then you have a week where you are booked up and busy and developing 8 recipes in one day for three different clients. They are the days where you dare to dream that it might always be like this. (And you also eat too many white chocolate cupcakes). READ MORE

I asked if you wanted the recipe and it turns out you did. So here she is. READ MORE
Okay, hands up. Here I am posting another recipe with coconut in. It’s a problem I have. I can only apologise. I can’t promise I won’t do it again though.
For years I have proclaimed I don’t care for Valentine’s Day. It wasn’t a lie. I didn’t need extra romance. My life was pretty darned exciting. Adding flowers and sparkly jewellery and fizz and special meals was surplus to requirements. But I have noticed, as I age, indeed, as my life has become steadily more domesticated, that I do want to be shown a little extra special affection once a year. And I don’t care that Valentine’s Day is contrived. Really I don’t. READ MORE
How are the resolutions going? This year I decided to absolutely not make any new year’s resolutions. I’ve made many in my time and have found, after a good few years of research, that they are more often than not, pointless. READ MORE
Happy Boxing Day! I am on The Saturday Show on Channel 5 today at 9am making this recipe along with a few others. Mince pie brownies require no hard sell. They’re the festive cousin of the classic brownie with no need for a cronut style hybrid name. READ MORE
