Bircher Muesli with Breville

HyperFocal: 0

Bircher muesli is a favourite in this house; the oats are so much tastier when soaked overnight in apple juice and milk (sometimes a little cream too).  It’s mostly saved for weeks when there’s little going on. I can’t seem to muster the energy to grate apple and measure out the ingredients before bedtime.

But I can certainly make a simpler version, though just as tasty, using the Breville Blend Active ColourMix Family Blender. And if time’s really short then pour the smoothie into one of the four personal bottles now with mixed colour caps. (Is it just my kids who fall into the camp of having a preferred colour each with everything?) The bottles have a super seal sports cap so spillages are one less thing to worry about on the go.

The recipe is simple and delicious. I serve with slices of apple dipped in lemon juice to stop them browning.

Ingredients:

Place all the ingredients into the Breville Blend Active ColourMix Family Blender. Place the lid on, blitz and serve. If you prefer your smoothie a little thicker, simply add more oats.
