Okay, so I’m not sure what’s better, a sausage roll recipe that can be pimped 3 ways or a gifted pair of beautiful canvas shoes to skip about in and dream of spring, summer and picnics. I think I’m going for equal first.
So let’s talk shoes first. Moshulu sent me a gorgeous pair of Key Lime 3 canvas ballerinas which came in the most delightful box.
I chose the ones with the embroidered heel (also look at the lining – I LOVE a lining that’s been paid attention to), which are pretty much perfect for wearing with summer chinos and a white shirt, or with a dress, or actually with jeans. They have a really low white front part of the shoe which essentially creates an optical illusion and makes your feet look slimmer without having any ‘toe cleavage’ exposure. Have a look here:
They’re really versatile and easy to wear, and frankly, with three kids, that’s what I’m looking for, because I’m not someone who has the time or inclination to swap shoes every 5 minutes. And of course, they’re comfy too and pass the ‘can I run after a feral Lawrence’ test. And even in my London days of working in advertising and wearing shoes that were often teetering on ridiculous, I would not stand for discomfort. They’re 100% cotton and the flowers are hand drawn by Moshulu’s designer Sophie.
Now this particular design are a little girlie (many more on their site that aren’t), but I am quite a fan of embracing femininity in my accessories. Flowers on my shoes is something that makes me smile. Flowers all over; well, for me, a little too much.
Can I also draw your attention to Moshulu’s slippers and their very bright sandals. I am after both. I am not hinting at all. (Okay I am, and I am a size 8 and love the purple sandals best).
Do you want to win a pair? Well, of course you do. But would you like to win a pair AND an Arcade backpack, Cockatiel sunglasses and Macaw picnic rug?
Okay, so you need to get yourself over the Moshulu site to enter by clicking here.
And over there you’ll also find my three twists on sausage rolls for making a #PerfectPicnic – there’s ploughman’s, a Mediterranean olive, basil and garlic variety. And a goat’s cheese and cranberry version.
