Holidaying in Aldeburgh – Part 3

It’s the last installment, I promise. If you missed the previous one, it’s here. So we went back to The Regatta. It was that good. This time we had the crispy squid.

The crayfish cocktail with lime and basil.

Confit duck.

Salmon smoked on the premises.

The boys chose sausage and chips. Well, it was the last day of the hols.

Lawrence likes to play it cool.

He was waiting for his brownie (to share I hasten to add).

We ordered a pudding we thought we might hate again. It was red velvet cake with blackcurrant sorbet. We didn’t hate it.

We especially loved the fudge that came along with the coffee. It’s the little things, isn’t it?

And then we went to Thorpeness to mess about on the river.

And polished off the day with a naughty treat for the adults.

And then we came home. And had to unpack. Sigh.
