Giveaway #1 – Dr. Oetker Baking Goodies Giveaway!

I love free things. It all started with a colouring competition in 1988 for Debenhams. I was a runner up and received a Debenhams Bear which I still own to this day. I especially love free things I can eat, or free things I can use to make something edible. (Yes I am that girl at the deli counter shovelling cheese cubes into my mouth.)

In steps good old Dr. Oetker with this little lot of goodies. Would you like them – they’re worth about £28 by my reckoning you know? And the cake release stuff is fab as much as I willed it not to work when I tried it. If you would, then it’s really very easy – just fill in the form below and do as it tells you! If you can’t see a form press refresh and it should pop up.

A word of warning, if you don’t fill in the form your entries will not go into the draw – so fill in the form! The only mandatory means of entry is to leave a blog comment so you need to do this as well as completing the form, but for every extra entry your chances of winning increases so complete as many as you like. You can even post the Twitter comment everyday to really up your chances. Here are some rules and other boring bits:

Only open to UK participants over the age of 18. Sorry to anyone from further afield or younger readers.

There’s only one prize and that’s the Dr. Oetker goodies you can see in the picture. There’s no cash alternative to the prize and the prize is not transferable. No part or parts of the prize may be substituted for other benefits, items or additions.

Instructions form part of the terms and conditions. Entries using any software or automated process to make bulk entries will obviously be disqualified. The winner will be picked at random using software and then contacted by email. If you win and then don’t respond to this email within 7 days then another winner will be picked so check your emails and your spam! The goodies will be delivered to the winner as soon as possible after you have sent me your delivery address.

I am running this giveaway on behalf of Dr. Oetker who will be responsible for sending the prize to you if you win, which is very kind of them as it saves me queuing up at the Post Office. Their decision is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into. So there.

This is where I get all stern – please don’t say you have liked the post and followed me on Twitter and Tweeted away like a Tweety thing if you haven’t as guess what? If you win I will check you did do the things you said you did. It’s only fair after all. And I do like fairness.

  4. umm i liked the plain vanilla cupcakes, with the buttercream – Butterfly Cakes yummy, but i tried the best cupcake ever, few months ago – Pecan and Maple…Ohh my it was lush

  21. I love to make vanilla cupcakes with coffe flavoured buttercream icing and topped with chopped walnuts – yum!

  31. I know nobody else does, but I love coffee flavoured cupcakes. The coffee-er the better (is that a word? – probably not but you know what I mean :))

  36. I have to admit to being the weirdo who doesn’t like cake – sorry! It’s the texture of it, yuck :( I do however love baking, and my favourite flavour to bake is red velvet because they are that little bit different to do. Everyone else seems to enjoy eating them too :)

  58. My favourite cupcake flavour is coffee … I love anything coffee flavoured, but coffee cupcakes are right up there with coffee flavoured ice cream!

  85. i love baking and my fav cupcake to bake is lemon curd with a meringue topping as its my hubby’s fav and love to see him enjoy eating them.

  91. At the moment my favourite is a mudslide cupcake – rich chocolate cake with irish cream and chocolate swiss meringue buttercream. Take ages to make but its worth it!

  94. Can I vote for a strawberry cupcake? Ooh, strawberries and cream. Yum. I don’t think I’ve ever had one, but that kind of sweet fruity flavour would be lovely with a pile of buttercream on top! Salivating at the thought… Lxx

  96. Definitely cookie dough cupcakes. It hadn’t occurred to me to make some until I found them in a bakery.

  100. My favourite cupcake flavour has to be cappuchino with vanilla buttercream frosting! I love anything coffee flavoured!!!!!

  106. I love the Dr Oetker things – brilliant stuff! My favourite cupcake is coconut and pineapple with a cheeky bit of malibu in the icing!

  108. I have a great recipe for oreo and cream cupcakes.  Yummy!  There are broken up oreos in the cake mix and crushed into the butter cream on top.  Perfect with a cup of tea! :)

  109. My favourite cupcake flavour is without a doubt PEANUT BUTTER! What’s not to love about sweety and salty peanut butter icing with a scrummy chocolate cake base? Cake heaven! x

  125. I love chocolate, and any kind of fruit together, but the best ever cupcake has to be a black forest one!

  130. Sorry to sound boring, but despite making a tonne of different types of cupcake, my favourite is still a mini victoria sponge… I pipe in some homemade strawberry jam into a vanilla cupcake and top it with a whirl of vanilla buttercream. Yummy!

    I have been playing with spices, velevet chocolate cupcakes with hot chilli in the batter and cinnamon icing

  138. I like to bake simple vanilla bean cupcakes, but presented in pretty cupcake liners and with decorative features and topings… glitter and shimmer dust :) Thank you for the giveaway opportunity.

    My fave cupcake flavour changes, at the moment I’m loving ‘Hint of Christmas’ – vanilla cake with mincemeat (as in mince pies) stirred through the mix. Yummy spicy, light and fruity!!

  148. Lemon flavour cupcakes for me I think but I like a good dollop of lemon curd inside the sponge as well as lemon in the icing on top.

    Favourite cupcakes are the traditional ones (vanilla or chocolate), but have to have buttercream icing on the top!

  158. mmmm, all this talk of cupcakes is making me hungry.  My favourite flavour depends on my mood, in general it’s something lemony, but if I feel like comfort eating it has to be chocolate all the way

  160. Such fun (Miranda lovers can say it in her voice)  Cupcakes are one of our fave family bakes and sprinkles galore are the order of the day. Lemon curd cupcakes are on the menu for today :-)

  162. My favourite cupcake has to be a rich vanilla topped with lots of buttercream, simple but effective!

  169. My favourite cupcake has to be chocolate, especially if it has nutella hidden inside with some nutella icing and always decorated with a few sparkles.

  171. Double chocolate chip with a dollop of nutella hidden in the middle and topped off with a rich chocolate ganache and chocolate shavings works every time for me.

  172. I want to try new flavour cupcakes. Vanilla is boring; all pretty but no pizazz. My favorite flavour is “new”. Right now I’m thinking “aniseed crunch”. Yum.

  175. My favourite cupcake flavour must be carrot, a bit naughty with a little bit of healthyness to ease the conscious.

  177. I’m a man, and I like good manly cupcake flavours dusted with concrete and tiling grout.

    My favourite flavour therefor is a very masculine Raspbery and White Chocolate.

  178. My favourite cupcake flavour is probably chocolate, but a good homemade cake with just enough (not too much) icing in pretty much any flavour is hard to beat!  Love the look of all those goodies…fingers crossed :)

  179. I love making coconut cupcakes with lemon buttercream, but my favourites are chocolate cupcakes with chocolate orange buttercream – nom! : )

  180. My favourite cupcake flavour has got to be Red Velvet Cupcake with cream cheese frosting, as although I have a very sweet tooth, its nice to have a break from buttercream. I top mine with dark chocolate curls x

    As for fav cupcakes   I can’t pick one but 4 off the top of my head- there is chocolate orange; tiramisu; lemon meringue and amaretto with flambeed pineapple (absolute heaven all of them!)

  197. I still cannot see where it says we have to state our fave cupcake flavour, am I being rather blonde tonight?! I think lemon would be my fave, very fresh and clean and sharp. Although am rather jealous  that my friend won some Bailey’s cupcakes this week!

  199. I love most cakes! Especially if they have chocolate.  Fresh fruit and a little cream is good too.  I also like ones that have a surprise in the middle, but nothing too sickly.  Something peanut buttery might be tasty, but I have never tried that.  

  201. I never win giveaways but everything is worth a try! This is a good prize for me because I have gone a bit cupcake crazy recently and this would all help in my quest! I’d like to try a mini victoria sponge as a cupcake next.

  209. What an amazing prize, I love free things too especially of the eating or in this case cake decorating (which leads to eating) variety. So many flavours to choose from but my fav would have to be chocolate with chocolate buttercream of course :)

  223. First entry! Favourite cupcake is black bottomed cupcakes – the cream cheese cuts through the chocolatey sweetness. I’m less about the stylish frosting – it’s what’s on the inside that counts…
